"Where is it?"

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was dig out day and there is more to do today.  We are expecting another storm to hit tomorrow but thankfully far less accumulation is expected...5-8".  Still on top of the 20+" from Tuesday's storm it will be hard to find where to put it!

This little bird (I think it is a Junco) seems to be asking, "Where is that cool cat sculpture that use to be right here under the tree?"  The sculpture and the fence behind it are completely buried.  I love the little footprints he made as he hopped around under the tree looking for food.  He just has to come to the feeders, 10 feet away, and he would find plenty but maybe he's just playing in the snow or admiring the lovely shadows which is what I was doing when I spotted him.

The bigger and heavier birds sunk right into the light, fluffy snow and it was quite comical to watch them but this little guy had no problem staying on top.  Sometimes bigger isn't better!
