Gone Bush

This is a back blip as I headed into the bush yesterday and had no technology or power to blip last night.

We headed up to Beeby's Hut (1310 m above sea level).  A beautiful place high in the tussock.  The hut is set in a tiny valley with beech trees on two sides and tussock on the other two.  The alpine plants were fascinating, as was the bird life. 

This is a very young male tom tit.  The only tit we have in New Zealand.
