The Jezebel Spirit - Brian Eno and David Byrne
Just a quick blip today as I'm snowed under with work.
admittedly this isn't the most pertinent shot in relation to the title (although anyone who's been in a less tahn salubrious nightclub just before closing might disagree) when this song came up I had to blip it. It's an alltime favourite of mine and came from an album that was so far ahead of it's time it was scary. Admittedly Byrne and Eno were both visionarys when it came to music anyway, but so may later ambient style bands owe them a huge debt due to this album. I certainly think it was a precursor to bands like the orb and KLF.
Eno and Byrne had other collaborations, but none quite so cutting edge as this album. the track in question is a pulsating funky piece of music with great synth parts from Eno and a chilling vocal sample of a supposed Excorcism.
I couldn't find this track, but here's another bear in mind it's 26 years old now.
