Pre-loved

My trusty old copy of 'The Lord of the Rings'.  I think I bought this when I was about 15, and have read it at least three times.  It's seen better days I suppose, but I kinda like the fact that it looks so well thumbed.

After finishing re-reading 'The Hobbit' to Adam, he insisted that we do this book next.  I  tried to point out just how utterly enormous it is, but I don't think he really cares.  It's a bedtime routine we both really enjoy, so I don't mind at all.  Could take a while though, and we may have to skip some of the interminable songs and poems.
