Friday.. I'm in Brum

The girls were away this weekend so I packed my case and headed to Birmingham after work.

Nice evening with my best mate Stucks, not sure we put the world to rights but we had a go.

A couple of things on Friday made me think about being on Twitter.

For the first time since I joined in 2009 it's making me sadder rather than happier. I'm not going to make a big dramatic 'I'm leaving!' statement because I'm not.... just been pondering how after being a lifeline when everything tits up in 2010 now in 2012 it just seems to be bringing me a lot of grief.

Cross with myself for letting it get me down.

I'm a firm believer that whether you experience anger, guilt, jealousy, love, sadness, joy or happiness, the emotion comes from within...no one can make you feel anything. We all control how we feel. The bit I'm struggling with is practising what I preach!

Friday blip is one of Birmingham's most iconic buildings. Pretty soon when I visit I will be able to pray in the Church of the New Library - but in the mean time...Selfridges will have to do.
