Nash Sands, Marcross, Vale of Glamorgan.
This is the rocky bay and sands which has brought so many ships to a grisly end. The "beach" is solid rock and situated directly behind a treacherous sandbank. The lighthouse, (Saturdays blip) was built as a result of the passenger vessel "Frolic" running aground on the sands in March1831 with the loss of 78 lives. The last casualty was an empty BP oil tanker Named "Driver" which hit the rocks in 1962 and was abandoned. Some of the wreckage can still be seen today.
