The long walk

With a few hours to spare while our daughter was at gym, we decided to walk a route we hadn't tried before. We left the car at home and our non stop round trip walk of 7 miles took us 2 hours 20 mins.

After 45 minutes, we were walking along roads that neither of us had travelled on before.  The view in the photo is taken from a stretch of road with no pavement that runs between Grotton and Mossley.

I really enjoyed the walk, even the bit where it rained! And, we had a good old chat.

I'm a bit achy now - as I went straight out into our local town to pick up a bit of shopping. When I got back I said to my husband, "I feel about 50!" - then I stopped myself. That's not too bad seeing as though I'm actually 51!!!
