Nearing the final strait

It's not a pretty shot, but today my daughter had the last, thickest wire put on her teeth. Next time she will have 'power chains' fitted - to start moving her newly straightened teeth into their final positions. With any luck, her orthodontist says, she should finish her treatment in September.

Her orthodontist was so pleased with her progress. He praised her for her dental hygiene, her compliance and her intelligence! He really is lovely! 

Every time she has her wires changed, she gets the choice of different coloured bands - apparently no-one ever wants the yellow ones. She chose this colour to match her outfit for tomorrow night's party at her friend's house.
