Plastic wrapped houses

This house is typical of many in Christchurch that are undergoing earthquake repairs.

They are wrapped in plastic, presumably to keep the weather elements out while all of the cladding is being replaced.

The plastic will only be saving the house from getting sunburnt though, as it has been a long time since we had rain.

Water restrictions have just been imposed due to drought conditions.
