Nordic Walking

This morning I tried out a Nordic walking group. We met in a car park and the poles were given out. Then we had to have a walk around to get used to them. There's more to Nordic walking than I though. We had a short walk then did some stretches. We then had a longer walk which included some walking lunges. Finally we went down onto the beach for a long walk in the sand and pebbles. It's quite hard work walking on that.

It was a beautiful morning, just perfect for a walk along the seafront. We did 7 miles altogether. I could really feel it in my legs so it was good exercise.

I will do it again after my holiday. It will help me get ready for my walk up Snowdon in May.

A nice lady called Natalie took this for us. The tall guy is Michael who I'm teaching to swim. Just a small group and all very nice people.

Manchester Utd are playing Cambridge tonight. It's strange watching my sons friend Chris Dunn who is in goal. His dad was my eldest Nicks first team manager. It's really nice seeing people you know get on....hope they win or get a draw as it will bring in much needed money for the club.

Did my last nights work until after half term. Can't believe this time next week I'll be in Thailand.
