A long thin view of the world

The machair of the Hebrides can remind me of Norfolk. Flattest county in the UK and the Western Isles - what is he rabbiting on about?
My point is that the view is nearly always a long thin one. There is a lot of sky, everything often happens on the horizon and the foreground is regularly almost featureless. This view above of Eaval hopefully illustrates that - I had to crop a normally shaped photo to highlight Eaval and by doing so the lochan became a much bigger part of the image rather than the acres of marram grass in the original and the sky becomes of more manageable proportions.
This was in a sunny spell - there were plenty on unsunny spells too!
