Green Wooden Sheep

Mystified yet?

I saw this colourful window display in Covent Garden so I took a photo, played with it a bit, and then Googled the Chinese New Year.

It's complicated. Some say it's the year of the Goat.... And others that it's the Green Wooden Sheep.
I read on. The Horoscope year starts on Feb 4th but the New Year isn't until Feb 19th. It lost me after that..... But I liked this sheep thingy.
It made me smile after my morning's ordeal with Virgin Trains.

This week's problem is the overhead wires near Wolverhampton. So they cancelled two of the three trains an hour. I got the 11.00 and squeezed on. Not a seat at all. One student squeezed himself off in Coventry and I was standing nearby. I was very lucky. Most people had to stand all the way to Euston (as one said - not even enough room to sit on the floor)

It was slow too. Well over two hours from Birmingham International.

I'm down for an opera/theatre break but my friend is due to join me when she's finished work. According to their website, it's still a mess.

Please keep your fingers crossed for her.

Now, how about that lucky sheep.......
