A Perennial
If yesterday's sunshine produced just a little homesickness in our novelist expat, then today's wind and icy rain will have reinforced his decision to live nearer to the equator.
With our sortie this morning requiring a heads down approach to the weather, there was no chance of an outside blip, and so I'm afraid it has to be the perennial flower blip for me.
I have forgotten the name of these particular perennials ( note the play on words), but they may be of the lily family. Whatever they are, they last for about 3 weeks, cut in a vase, but only if you speak to them on a daily basis and place them with a background to which they approve.
