Things have moved on a bit since this was at the forefront of technology. I can't help wondering whether that is a good thing or not. The answer is probably yes and no, good and bad. One thing is for sure, the guy who made this wasn't pondering the existence of the Higgs Bosun particle, but he would probably have liked better night vision.

For those of you in the UK, the infra-red night time scenes in the BBC show Winterwatch are shot with a very nice high grade camera made by us at Selex ES - most definitely at the forefront of technology.

This axe was recovered from somewhere in Africa, by my grandfather last century. I'll have to ask Mum to fill in the details of where and when...
