Bedtime books

Have spent the night working on my laptop and filling in our mortgage application details! Shattered!

Worked all day today as had clients over from Dublin for a big review meeting and presentation. Have had low level anxiety about it looming on the horizon all weekend but it went well, thankfully. And we have another contract renewal on the books, phew!

Couldn't wait to pick Squidge up from nursery on the way back. We scuttled inside, cranked the heating up and got cosy. Work clothes off, pyjamas on.

Squidge enjoys her bedtime books at the moment, especially as we keep them fresh with lots of library books on rotation. Tonight's was Patrick Learns to Paint, we lay on the bed reading, she rested her freshly shampoo'd head on my arm and all the day's stresses immediately lifted. There's nothing like it.
