Slippery Slope

I am having a day off today as I'm going to see First Aid Kit in Edinburgh tonight, with Abi.  G gave me the tickets for Christmas.

It was such a beautiful morning that I thought I'd get out with Rocky early, and give him a decent walk.  We were out for about 3 hours, and took the opportunity to walk up the side of some fields which were fenced off before, so that we could explore the ruins (up in the top left of the picture) of an old farm. 

Where the snow had melted and then frozen in the tractor tracks it was just pure ice, as were large swathes of the fields. The frost and ice sparkled in the sunshine, which was warm on my back.

After a good root around in the ruins, we headed back the way we came and stopped to speak with the farmer who was cutting up fallen branches. 

Back home now, quick coffee, update Blip, and then I'm off to the 'Burg to meet Abi.  We are going to have a wee bite to eat, and then head for the Usher Hall for the gig.  Looking forward to it.
