Very Sad Sunday
Today's blip was going to be about what a lovely crisp, bright day it was, and how I went leafleting in a nearbye village.
And how, after I finished doing that, I dropped in on my sister and her man, and had a coffee, and petted her wee Collie bitch and cuddled her cats, before the two of us went for a wee rake around Matalan.
And then, how we both went our separate ways to do some food shopping, before meeting up again at Mum's for some coffee and cake.
After that I was possibly going to tell you how I came home, with all my food shopping and some new bedding and a new lampshade for the bedroom and how I transformed the room in just a few quick moves.
However, what happened next was; I got home, and G told me my boss had been trying to get in touch with me. I phoned her, and she told me that K, one of the ladies I do admin. for at work, had been in touch to say that her 47 year old husband had died quite suddenly after suffering his 3rd stroke in 2 weeks.
And now my blip is about how suddenly life goes from being rich and full of promise to being grey, full of grief, and devoid of happiness.
God Bless you K and your wee boy F; I'm unashamedly crying while I write this, as I cannot imagine your pain. The best I can wish for you is that time will rush past, and it will soon get to the bit where you can think of your beloved husband without crying.
In the meantime, I do not think that any one of the 30 women and 1 man in my department will not today hold their beloved partners close to them, and thank God that today - we are still able to do so.
