A slice of Lesley's life

Another step

The simplest of non-thinking card games (Strip Jack Naked) made our Sunday lunch at a lovely pub looking out over the river feel normal and fun. I also found a little magnetic structure game yesterday which is tactile and highly entertaining whilst not being at all taxing. Fortunately Sunday also brings with it lots of football on the TV and we introduced him to Men In Black which he loved.

This morning he was really tired and spent most of it in bed. We did our walk down the road and made it a few metres further, though not quite to the end yet. As I am using this partly to record his progrwss I should note that he read about 15 pages of the Wimpy Kid book but his head hurt trying to recall even very simple maths (3x3).

We shall make a decision in the morning whether he goes into school for a bit.

Anna meanwhile spent the morning doing lots of great homework and the afternoon having an apparently fabulous time at a climbing birthday party with one of our neighbours.

Apart from heading out to lunch we have taken the chance of this change in pace to sort through (nearly) all of our CDs and DVDs. Remarkably satisfying.

And now I am off to get lost in a book.
