Secret beach #6 - Charcoal Bay

Today started with a lovely walk to the summit of Mount Albert. When at 9am it was pretty sunny and hot - quite a contrast to yesterday's rain.

At 11am I was collected from home by Nicola for a belated birthday trip to the beach - Sally-Ann and Helen came along as well.

The beach was pretty easy to get to and quite deserted. Definitely a pretty beach and sheltered for swimming but pretty muddy and shelly underfoot.

After returning home at 4pm, I decided to chill out as it was so hot! After a yummy smoked chicken and mango sweet chilli salad, Amelia and I headed to the back for a swim in the sea - very refreshing!
