The Rodeo

Today I headed to the Canterbury Rodeo with JH and SF.  Had a great time photographing the event.  We had press passes so were able to get right up to the fence which was great, despite been heckled by a few people from the audience. Even though we were sitting down and not blocking anyone's view we still got stones thrown at us.

I was asked if I had a wide angled lens, and if I would be willing to take a photo of the grounds from the Helicopter.  Would I?  Silly question. The helicopter ride was fabulous.  They took the doors off so we were able to get amazing views over Canterbury. I took some photos of the grounds itself and some of the wider Canterbury area as well.  Once the job was done, I asked the Pilot if he could take us to  Arthurs Pass!

Once back on the ground I was all tingly.  I thought the experience was better than xxx!

Very hot day.  Got back just in time to be whisked off to a BBQ and a swim in the pool.  Magic day.
