Pick up

Last night's film reviews first. "Locke" was excellent in an acting masterclass sort of way but took a while to settle in to it. "Under the Skin" was empty drivel and "Dredd" was entertainingly OTT.

This morning we awoke to an empty house. Weird. Cups of tea in bed and then a long dog walk along a frozen riverbank followed by bacon sarnies and more mugs of warming tea while reading the papers. 

Then the pick-ups started, Ruby along at Glenkinchie first (with the bonus of a quick blip of the distillery gates) and then Joe in Dunbar. Eve was dropped home which saved me a trip to Biggar. In between I baked a blueberry and almond loaf which we will be having after dinner with some custard, although I've just snaffled some and it's lush.
