Returning to Peace
Seemingly the gales passed
by as the roaring of the desert
monsters dyed down. Their
bloodthirst quenched just for
a moment. Angered throats so
soared in yelling blasphemy
crippled now forever to whisper
words of love and wisdom,
dissatisfied beyond surrender
under the blood stained sword
of absolute submission. We
see the evil of idiots, zealots
turning kids to henchmen.
O God, why should we stand
this bloody blindness and full
of tears forgive all perpetrating
horrors of the ages? How can
we move into encouraging of
faith in everlasting redemption
of the worst of deeds, cruelty
inflicted to the innocence of
life, maternity enslaved, rob
away a newborn, slaying
hope? So, in this moment
as storm is dying down, I ask
and pray to stay that steadfast
dieheart, saying Yes, indeed,
I don’t know how we can stand
for such an all embracing love.
But still I do believe it to be true.
Just standing firm and endure
the storms, until a new day
brings back light and colours
blue and white the powers of
your cloudy sky and rustling
sea. There is no other way to
Be for me
