Passion fruit flower
I've always been fascinated granadilla flowers. If you look at them long enough they become alien spaceships or a random looking obstacle on one of those water-challenge TV shows. The colours are wonderful too. This one has started to flower after I cut it back very severely a few months ago.
I've had the most exciting, fun day! Apart from doing the usual Mommy things and driving about lifting C and getting her ready for a friend's birthday weekend on a farm in Paarl. I, together with a new work colleague went to meet some government people to follow up a new lead for the Bright Futures project I've been involved in for a while. Even though it feels like the beginning of another bureaucratic goose chase, I'm collaborating with someone who has a completely new way of implementing the programme and the ideas for this partnership are starting to solidify and will solve so many previous problems. Hooray! I've been so blessed these last few years as I've tried to be open to whatever work opportunities arise as long as they fit into the criteria of being ethical and bringing real benefit to others. I've been able to contribute to such amazing projects, see a side of life I'd never otherwise have experienced and my world has become so much bigger as a result.
Maybe I stared too long at the passion fruit flower and have been taken off to another world!
C's arm is so much better since the acupuncture and she has started riding again and is so much happier in herself, which of course makes her mother very happy.
Hope your weekend is wonderful. Love. xxx
