Surface tension

One of the many things I only partially understand: I know what surface tension is but don't have a clue why or how it works.  Yes, this image has been inverted, as I liked the image of the rest of the garden inside the droplet.

And it seems Blip have restored the "choose thumbnail" facility. Thank you.
