Long Day

A long day. 6am alarm to be on the 7.20 train to Newcastle.

Home for 18.30. It wasn't all work & travel. I had a bit of time to wander the city, and for a lovely lunch in a Persian restaurant. Best bit was a dessert with 4 preserved figs on a milk "pudding" with pistachios, walnuts and honey. 

Or was it the roast aubergine purée with sesame seed flatbread? Oh well, I enjoyed it all. 

The trains were on time - worth mentioning after all the winter weather we've had in the last week. 

Had a great wee gossip on the last leg with my MSP and one of my son's former colleagues. 

The Blip is the famous Tyne Bridge with 3 others behind it. It's not my first choice shot from today, but my iPhone and MacBook aren't really on the same planet today and won't synchronise properly.
