Winter pond

Woke up to a lovely sunrise which looked promising, however the day turned dark, dreary and cold again quite soon.  The snow was still on the ground and stayed all day.  I went to have a look at our pond in the field across the road.  The water was frozen of course.  Mysterious pawprints in the snow, but probably a cat.  We went to Aberystwyth to get bread flour - 75p for 1 1/2 kg (less than half the usual price).  Just 10 minutes away from home , on lower ground, there was no snow at all.  The penalties of living in the mountains! lol
