Bonfire - us?
Looking down through some of the excess saplings at Manoel, inspecting the remains of our bonfire (still smouldering, and it’s now 5:30 pm). Luckily, no inspectors turned up today to extract fines or bribes, so we may go for more of the same tonight. By which time, we should be on our way back down to Rio. There was some very welcome rain here this afternoon, but I’m not sure Rio has been so lucky. My poor plants will be toast.
Some work came in today – one short CV to translate, but with only intermittent access to the internet and a total lack of will to work, I managed to spin it out till for hours. Now off to walk Kayla before we abandon her (to the caretakers) for another few days.
