There Was Snow Lying in the Fields

4.6C with some light snow showers through the morning then bright in the afternoon. Wind to 37 mph with gusts to 52 mph.

Light snow showers started not long after Apothecary7 had set off for work on the icy roads. Not much accumulated and the roads were clear by lunchtime. Snow showers are forecast possible this evening, with an amber warning over central Scotland.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. There was snow lying in the fields. We went up by the church and down the field with the bridle path to the cycle path that runs along parallel to the shore. We didn't go down to the beach today.

The bridle path wasn't as frozen as I hoped so there were muddy paws. There were some handy big puddles on the road back up from the shore road and Maeve wandered through them ... clean paws. I did dry them off when we got back into the house.
