Mono Monday ~ Distant

I didn't have a blip for today but then Ruby came to the rescue. Some of you may know how Ruby came to us but for those who don't ....here it is.
Ruby was bought by a breeder for showing but unfortunately (or fortunately for us) failed the 'spec'. So we took her on 6 months after we lost our old black lab, Millie. This was the same breeder who also bought Millie for the same thing and she failed her hip score. He knew Millie had a wonderful life with us and wanted the same for Ruby.
What has this to do with distant you may ask. The said breeder bought Ruby from the same place as Millie and I believe they are distant relatives!!! I like to think of Millie being her great, great aunt!! :-)
