today we hired a car with a very good driver and did endless errands. one of them was going to a lab and printing photos-this is always difficult, the colours are not the ones i like, it doesn't look anything like it looks on my very high quality screen etc. but they will do as work photos. i need many more to chose a cohesive group for the show and also to start preparing several books. when i did slides i always projected them on a hue wall and that immediately showed me which ones where the real good ones and which was plain good. the bad ones i threw out instantly. everything was visible: the composition first of all, being magnified to several metres, then the precision, the colours, the look, the intensity-- all was clear. how can we ever see the on a small screen?? (27" is not 2-3-4- square metres!!) and my 13" travel mac....well...
all the work is already there, i 'only' need to choose....
we had a very good lunch in a Gujarati restaurant....ah, if only those existed in Spain!!
then the dentist.
then there was an opening of Pichwais painting in Amethyst's new gallery. such a beautiful space and a wonderful colourful show. there were dances on in the academy, but once we came near there we realised that enough is enough and we went home.
