Best of the day

As promised the skies cleared mid morning & we grabbed the chance to head out with pooch. It was immediately clear that the temperature has dropped a fair bit - but I was still surprised to see what at first looked like snow clinging to the shady places. Getting closer it was really just frozen hail - and by the time we'd finished our walk it had all but gone - fortunately the blue sky stayed with us - but as I sit here now I can here the drumming of the rain on the cave roof again - so normal service resumed then!
