Hot summer days

When it is really too hot for me to want to do much, although it is a little cooler today then what it was last week, it is still too hot for me to want to go for a walk. Had a little walk around the backyard, and saw a bumble bee busy at work, here I am enjoying my afternoons where I don't have a lot that I have to do, and can just potter and really do anything that I want, knowing that in just over a month that will all change and things will be full on again. But then God gave us season where we need to rest so that we can recharge our batteries for the season that lays ahead. Been thinking a bit today on last night's sermon and with knowing the basics of what lays ahead for this year, have been thinking what is my big ask of God for the year. Am so excited for when it all starts happening, and really all I want is to take each step with God at my side and with me following Him and doing what it is He has asked of me.
