Capraia street lamp

The Italians seem to have quite a few islands named after goats. Capri and Capraia come to mind. Apparently sailors would drop two or three off when passing an island, then come back a few years later and find the goats (capra) had multiplied. Farming made simple. So now there are several "goat islands".

We sailed from Elba to Capraia today and went for a walk in the town. The houses are painted in rich colours that glow in the evening sunshine.
