Beach huts

Some beach huts on Elba. This young chap seemed to be enjoying the sunset, playing his guitar.

We had a great dinner tonight at the home of Victor's friends Michele and Francesca who have a house on Elba. We were also joined by another sailing friend, Brian Douglas, who has a licence to print money (he works for a company that prints bank notes).

Brian did not lose his wallet (see Tuesday) but he did manage to get on the wrong train (or the right train that went the wrong way) in spite of impeccable Italian, so he too had his adventures getting here.

There were also French guests at the table so the conversation was a mixture of three languages with the addition of good food and wine that speaks for itself and makes everything understandable.
