Hooded Merganser Drake

The “Delta Ponds” Park area of Eugene are a side channel of the Willamette River.

The pedestrian / bicycle path that snakes through the area provides excellent photo opportunities for the wildlife that inhabit the protected park.

While walking along the path in the mist late this afternoon, it was my great good fortune to happen upon a Hooded Merganser Drake.
