Tynemouth

We picked up a couple of friends and drove to Tynemouth market today. Its in beautiful Tynemouth station which originally opened as a railway station in 1882. It later became a Metro station in 1980, and one of the oldest station on the metro line. In 2012 it had a much needed restoration and renovation and is now grade II listed. On a Saturday the market spreads over the large station with lots of treasures to be found. I am having my birthday party in a few weeks so found some lovely items to use at the party. I bought a lovely antique drinks trolley and a vintage black and gold tea set. I am planning on wheeling in cocktails served in teacups! We then had a wander down Tynemouth village and had a hot chocolate in Lui's then went to my favourite Tynemouth cafe called Dil and the bear. Its a cute cafe with a vast cake selection so indulged in a slice of red velvet cake with my coffee. We were thinking about a walk at the beech but the weather was extremely windy and cold so we gave it a miss.
The one problem we had was that I drove us all then realised that I couldn't fit our new drinks trolley in the car with four people- oops! Luckily my mam works in the area so I dropped it off at her work so that i can collect it tomorrow.
Staying warm at him now with homemade soup and Avatar on DVD.
