York Minster Rose Window.

Out on our travels this morning to fit in a Park Run and some shopping. It was good to see a number of fellow orienteers at this mornings run. Not much shelter from the wind on the racecourse and the head wind was certainly a challenge. No local orienteering to be had this weekend. Perhaps just as well given the conditions.

Into the centre of York for shopping and took the camera as the light was good. Felt like a tourist hunting out a photo for today. Decided on this shot of the Rose Window. It was badly damaged in 1984 when I lived in York. I remember waking to see the flames licking up the side of the Minster. Fortunately the glass was not destroyed but took years to restore.
