Ham Hill
Dropped off the season ticket applications for Chris and myself at Huish Park this morning then took a walk on Ham Hill near Stoke-sub-Hamdon, where I used to teach. The stone circle was installed in 2000 to commemorate the long history of hamstone quarrying on the hill (you can see the evidence in the middle distance) with the War Memorial on the skyline. We used to lead a running club up here in the lunch hour for staff and students for a number of years, before lunch times were cut to 30 minutes.
