nostra bella vista

...back home after our fabulous few days in Portofino. Made a detour via San Stefano to visit our nearest sizeable supermercato and continue to be shocked by rate of inflation. It was particularly noticeable today because we were buying for when family arrive tomorrow so we had a fairly full trolley!

We have been getting a bit worried about the weather forecast, which suggests that our visitors are in for a pretty damp stay. Nonetheless, it so often turns out to be better than predicted, here, and it is so beautiful that even a little rain is unlikely to spoil things.

Today's blip is of the panorama from our terrace. I had to run indoors quickly to get my camera when I noticed the little rainbow begging to have its picture taken. The mountains are the Alpi Apuane and the peak on the left, Monte Pisanino, is the highest at 1946m (6385ft). Luscignano, the village below us, always looks stunning cresting along the hillside...
