Fainting skylight over the gloomy dunes
Another tragic day in this part of the world. Really, I don't like to write about the horrific events in Paris. Not for lack of courage or clear conviction. But because I feel sickened by the hate and anger driven destruction of freedom and human dignity by this kind of quasi-religious fascists. I know their fanatic purpose aims too at destroying my personal lust for creative living. But I refuse to let fear disturb or block my spiritual joy and playfulness by these terrorists. They even persecute and murder the Sufies, those poetic, free islamic spirits, for being renegades.
So, after following the french tv-journal and helping a hand in Mischa's removal of final things, I had a break to visit the seaside. There was hardly any light. Except somewhere over the vast horizon. For the rest you would find only grey, darkgrey, grey-yellow-brown and dark-brown tones in the landscape.
Down at the low-tide surfline, only grey rippling waters, no birds to see. Nothing unexpected to focus in. Only once, after a long pause of relaxing breathing, I saw these three Gulls, flying in a row against the strong Southwestern. Low over the outstreaming surf. Three Gulls Together Against the Stormy Southwestern.
We had seen that before, Willemien, Misch & I, walking together along the surfline. We had been walking&talking about the future. Mischa would return from London to Holland and live somewhere in our neighbourhood at the coast in the Hague. That was her wish and we supported her. How could we have known that a few years later, she would remove to our appartment. But we all do remember this strong and solid view, so symbolic for our togetherness:
Three Gulls flying together against the Storm. That is and will for always remain the undestructable core of our threesome heart. This eternal loving truth, untouchable for whatever perpetrator of absolute evil in this world.
