Tea Time Treats

We got out into the garden this morning to try to catch a dry window. CH worked on the water feature, investigating the possibilities.
I worked on my usual maintenance stuff: weeding and cutting back in my borders. It started to rain before lunch but I kept going until I started slipping and sliding around in the mud. Yuk!
In for lunch then worked in the kitchen this afternoon. Finished cleaning the oven, made a polenta and cheese sauce to have with aubergines tonight and CH's favourite tea time treat. Apple meringue pie. It was still just warm when we tried it later. Also made some tiny meringues to make little sweets.
