Grey
It may be the middle of May, but it felt more like the middle of January today. In fact, if I did I wee bit of research I think I could establish there were periods in January when the average temperature was warmer than it has been here the last few days. 5 Degrees this morning and its still only in single figures!
Anyway, Mrs B is up in the city today for a dental appointment, which I thought might give me a bit more time for blipping. I may have had more time but it has been really dull all day with rain in the morning and not even a glimmer of sunlight to offer hope of a decent blip. Yesterday, lots of blippers in Scotland like me went for macro shots of colourful flowers. I tried to resist the temptation today and decided instead to go for another bird blip, even although the poor light meant I was struggling to get the sharp colours and detail I would have liked.
However, I thought this wee Chaffinch, all puffed up against the cold and with the last of the daffodils in the background, at least offered a ray of brightness on a grey day!
