In The Pink
Weather wise it has been a pretty nondescript kind of day with light rain on and off, grey skies and no wind. The perfect kind of day for staying inside and catching up with emails, telephone calls and all those other little things that are part of domestic life.
Did manage to get out for my run this morning, but there was little to inspire with the lack of light. Decided I had to go macro and tried a few plants with lots of raindrops on them. However, none turned out the way I wanted and were deleted on review. Instead I settled on this shot of some Pink Campion, which have appeared just as the Bluebells are starting to wither. I had hoped to get a blip with both of them, but the weather of late has taken its toll on the Bluebells.
Its funny how different flowers are associated with different times of the year, and for me Pink Campion will always be late Spring when I am starting to think about putting the wee boat in the water. There is a bit of open ground that I cross going down to the mooring where these lovely little bright flowers usually appear. I think that's why I have grown to like them - I associate them with boating!
