The Magazine House

The local area used to be riddled with small coal mines and this overgrown and long disused building used to be the magazine where explosives were stored. Until last year it was still connected to the electricity network and when Scottish Power came to disconnect it - asking us where it was as they couldn't find it - they were very surprised to hear of its history and a bit wary!
