A Moment of Pose
A rather overwhelming day at work but once again in the few minutes available at lunchtime I came across a familiar face to help avoid a barren photographic day. I wasn't quick enough to grab a candid as John spotted me and immediately posed as he was boarding his bus. He rather enjoys the attention I think. You've seen him before, here, in one of my own favourite street portraits from Market Square. A few local blippers will certainly recognise him as he cuts quite a distinctive figure locally. Some faces just have a strength, perhaps even a sense of timelessness, which is loved by the camera. I couldn't begin to define it in words but I think we can all recognise that quality when we see it. I hope I've captured that here.
It's an odd thing but whenever time constraints and other factors threaten to thwart my photography ambitions and I consider taking a break from this daily habit I get gifted opportunities that rekindle my desire to keep going. The Universe works in mysterious ways. I guess I'm still in for the long haul!
Thank you so much for the love for David. I will hopefully be able to feed that back to him at some point soon. And thank you to all those who have recently subscribed, or followed as we are now supposed to call it. It's always an honour. Cheers everyone.
