Still here, still hunter gathering

The news about yesterday being DS#1 and Charlotte A's last day proved to be premature - Caledonian Macbrayne, the ferry company, had other ideas sending a cancelation text just as they got in the car to drive to the port.
The fatted calf had already been killed and eaten yesterday and so today it was down to the beach with the rake to gather cockles - not quite such satisfactory fare. You can just make out DS#1 raking (hunting) on the beach with Charlotte A gathering. Eaval all the time provides a glowering backdrop. Enough cockles were found to make a half decent starter and this was supplemented with some local monkfish.
The best news however is that the ferry they are now booked on means they have to leave the house at 4:30 am tomorrow morning. They will love it!
