Simplicity

“Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art.” ~ Frederic Chopin

As I was walking today, I was thinking about simplifying my life but what would it really look like?
Less unimportant things; more focus on important things.
Less clutter; more free space.
Less things to take care of; more time/resources to explore the world.
Less worry about trivial things; more creative thinking.
It sounds like a life I would like to live.
It also sounds like it is a daily choice and not necessarily an achievable end state for most, or at least me.
Why does it seem so hard to simplify?
When times are tough, it seems like it is easier to get down to what really matters and what makes me happy.
Self-imposed change is always hard I guess...
