Choppy Solent
With the morning even darker and gloomier than yesterday I visited Yarmouth to make some Big Stopper images of a derelict pier at Fort Victoria. I only managed to take four shots all of which were spoiled by water droplets from the driving drizzle covering the filter so I retreated to a cafe for a welcome warming coffee.
Unbelievably within half an hour the low dark cloud had been blown away by a strengthening wind bringing with it a fierce chop in the Solent. So instead of a dark mono blip it is a bright colourful one. During the afternoon the temperature fell sharply and we may get a frost tonight.
It has been reported that an attempt may be made to move the beached cargo ship into safe waters tomorrow. Hopefully they will be successful as gales are forecast for the end of the week.
