Today's Treat

Today, together with a few photographic friends I visited Somerset House in London to see the Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition. I suppose like all exhibitions there was work I like and other work that wasn't my cup of tea! Overall it was a fantastic experience and many of the images were truly exceptional - there are some very gifted photographers around both professional and amateur. The exhibition is in the Embankment Gallery - an exceptional space that shows off exhibits to their best advantage. After lunch we spent some time exploring other bits of the building and trying to capture masterpieces. A first run through on the computer was interesting and there are a few images that may make the grade. I can thoroughly recommend a visit to Somerset House - the Sony Exhibition ends 20th May.
