Sunday, January 4, 2015 Amber Sea Glass

We took the three pups on a long, long walk along the shoreline this afternoon. The tide was very, very low and the sea was quite calm. We found lots of pieces of sea glass, mostly amber or clear. Finding these colored pieces of glass is entertaining! That probably sounds ridiculous, but as we walk and look and find, it's just fun. 

We're discovering this winter that the sea glass is much more available after a storm. The sand along the shore here in Cayucos changes significantly from week to week and we have had more rain in December than we've had for the past couple years. 

So finding sea glass as we do our daily shoreline walk with the pooches has become a daily treasure hunt.
